Has anyone used NovaWrap in the same way many of us use Tyvek? I have a bunch of it and it weighs virtually the same per square yard.

Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
Someone posed the same q over at BPL (backpackinglight). The nova fabric is a different blend, according to those that answered. The reinforcing fibers seemed less and in turn may not be as strong.

Yes Gargoyle, It isn't as strong and is only coated on one side. I will experiment with it and see if it takes on water. I can tear it but only for an inch or so and it seems to resist the more it is torn. I submerged it in water and formed a cup with it. It did leak thru and a one square foot piece went from 1/2 ounce to 1.3 ounces when wet.
Oh well....
