I just slipped thes onto my whoopies. Tight fit, slide able and super light. Hope these will work.
I just wrap the whoopie tail up and make a loop with the excess, so there are 2 points along my whoopie for water to drip, and no extra hardware
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!
I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.
It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.
Leave the stock suspension on the hammock. Tie the rings in using the stock rope. Larks head the whoopies or whatever you want to use to the rings. Works well, does not mess us warranty or resale value because you screwed up the designed hammock/rope interface. You can cut the stock rope at that point and it will not be an issue.
YMMV

Thanks for the thought. I'm sensitive to the value of original components on vintage musical instruments, but when playability and sound warrants it they get swapped out, If it's a drop-in replacement I retain the original part but I virtually never sell or trade. So for the Clark, the continuous loops slide right into the Clark channels. The mechanics are the same. The braided Amsteel feels much less abrasive than the Clark laid poly rope so I think there would be less wear and tear on the hammock.
That Clark adjustable drip-ring slippery bowline is a pretty clever knot to rig the hammock though. If I ever want to revert to Clark ropes, I feed them back through, then tie a standard bowline.
===> No need to over think drip rings! I simply take the rectangular plastic closures that come on a loaf of bread, use scissors to cut the solid side into a point, and snap them on whatever suspension line I am using at the time!
Long or short tabs - both work equally well as drip rings/stoppers! FREE, ultra lightweight, easily replaceable if lost!

Free???, I think not. I had to buy a loaf of bread to get that plastic tie thingy. And now the bread is getting stale.

===> Dutch - just keep the closures, soak the stale bread in some milk, add some sugar and cinnamon, and cover with instant pudding! Viola! Desert! Or make French Toast with it. Or feed critters with it (except ducks and geese-they don't have the proper enzymes to digest breads, so they will get really sick, or die)
But if you DO buy bread from a market anyway, the closing tabs come free with it!
