    Guy line setup ideas

My new Tadpole tarp should be here tomorrow. I've got 50' of lash-it coming for the ridgeline and guy lines. Would a lash-it prusik knot hold on the same size lash it? Sort of like how Arrowhead does theirs? If it does, should I make a continuous loop for the prusik, or the normal double fishermans knot? I also though about tying an alpine knot or figure 8 on a bight at a few points along the line and just picking the one that works to stick on my stake. Last option is to order some micro line locks and stick them on some bungies at the tarp side, or some line lock 3's and grosgrain and sew onto the tie-outs.

i use zingit prussic's on zingit my ridge line is 30'ish. i used continuous loops made them kinda bigger than they needed to be as i needed about 6-7 wraps to keep it from sliding. i use lawson glow wire and dutch flys on my guy lines

A lash-it prusik will hold on a lash-it line as long as there are enough wraps.
You don't need to make loops in the line, just choose the desired length amnd make a marlin spike hitch for the stake.

Thanks! I think I will try to put locked brummels on the stake end and prusiks on the tarp end for now.

3 wrap continuous loop prusiks have been working for me since I got my Tadpole. Run the loop up and down the line a few times to help get rid of the coating on the line.

Bubba! A Marlin spike hitch for the stakes! Yes, you just helped me out tremendously.

Haven't had a chance to do the Marlin spike yet, but have you ever had slippage?

    I use zing it....
