Aha! I have some samples on the way in olive, white, tan and black. As soon as I get them and check them out, I will put them up on the site if I like them. I'm really interested in the white.

Now that I've had a frost, I can say that Gore Tex is a very nice material for a sock - it's heavy, but the benefits far outweigh the extra weight - to me at least. Where I normally need extra insulation due to being a very cold sleeper, I'm almost a "normal" person in the insulation department with the sock.

I could not stand keeping the door fully closed - it gets stuffy really fast. With the pull outs at 4 instead of 2 now, they spread the sock out so it isn't claustrophobic.

With the temps at 34 this a.m., the inside of the sock remained at between 45 and 50 with the door zipper open 2 feet and just loosely hanging open. As long as the wind hits the back side of the sock, the air is very still inside.

The Gore Tex also blocks a lot of sound from outside.

I'll be off to the Hoosier Halloween Hang this Thursday and will be back Sunday morning.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

We have a big cold front moving in down south! Maybe you will get a chance to test well below freezing up there this weekend!

Yeah, I'll be at the Hoosier Hang tomorrow and the temps are going into the high 20's at night -- good test weather!

You can try the sock for a night if you want. I'm bringing plenty of warm stuff.

You're still using a UQ under the hammock inside the sock, right?

Oh, yes. I'm a very cold sleeper and use an uq of some kind year 'round.

Just a couple of questions.
At the Hoosier Halloween hang this past weekend, I got to use it in the "wild" and it works beautifully! It frosted each night and even went down into the high 20's a few times.

The only condensation problem I had was my ridgeline organizer was soaked in the morning - the gore tex was dry inside - no moisture or frost. My ridgeline organizer was right above my head and I breathed on it all night long.

Temps in the sock stayed around the 50 degree mark and I left the door open ( unzipped, but not pulled out ) every night I used it. Richard - who won the gore tex sock in the raffle said he loved it - he was a little - a lot - unprepared for the cold and said he slept warm on Sat night.

I will be making another for myself asap!

I will also have more colors available as soon as I can get them on the site - white, black, green and tan. I'm going with the white next time.

    Dimensions?

What is the perpendicular measurement from the top of the sock to the apex of the bottom please?

    Thanks,
