Let me get started, I love this site.
I would not want to lose our integrity and lose the
Community that we have. But, is there a way to have members
profit by making good suggestions. Could there be a separate
Category called "member vendors".

I am not here to make money, nor have I ever promoted
anything here. If Bobby posts some great videos and people like his
points about something then should he be able to profit from
the referral?

I do not know if this could be I implemented and not flood
the forum. But what if affiliate links were Only allowed in
Member Vendor section and each member had their own thread,
could think of a store of links

I would imagine that the owners and mods would not
want the trouble that this would make. Th:e moderating
duties would be horrible. But, what if we create a system that
takes very little maintaining?

Ok, I think I understand what your are asking.

You are purposing that each member is able to have links to vendors where people can buy things and the member whose link you click on gets a small amount of the sale, a referral fee in essence.

I don't think that it is necessary as most all vendors have a presence on the forums already. Because of this I doubt that it would be feasible for any of the vendors here to do such a thing as it would cut into what I imagine are fairly slim profit margins as is. I know that several of our cottage manufacturers actually have full time jobs as well as their businesses to run.

I would imagine this to be a fine idea in a larger/more broad community where there were more vendors than people could search through, but we are still quite a niche group.

Now if the idea were that everyone starts walking through the woods covered in sponsor patches so that we look like NASCAR drivers with a backpack instead of a car then it might be a different story.
