30 minutes light hike from driveway to primitive camp site in the forest near our house.

If I was a 30 minute hike from my driveway to a place like that I think my house would quickly become the place where I kept my extra gear.

Looks like a lot of fun! I wish I had a place like that just a 30 minute hike from my house. I'd even take a 30 minute drive. Its hot here in the desert! :-)
Ten minutes down the street and twenty through an area of mixed third growth and clear cut to this improvised camp site. It was a bit trashed by previous campers. Allowed for some leave it better than you found it life lesson for my girls.
Knowing this option was so close made me the savior of the day. All three ladies were impressed. Already been asked when we are goint back there.
Maybe next time we will be hanging two to a hammock and ditch the ground shelter.
