Question; is this an area where I can use a cart, or would it be better to use our backpacks? Is it a creek I heard mentioned, a river, or a stream.....and is IN definitions of those things different than Ohio's?

You just quoted yourself. Only Chuck Norris, Georges St. Pierre, or the Dos equis guys can do that. Minus 3 cool points
    Directionally challenged...comicly so.

Cart, probably not. But there is a parking lot real close that you can hike in extras. But it's up a giant hill.

You Ohio folk might consider them small trickles that join together to make a biggish trickle..

Got it. It's a stream, that may be a hassle to cross when it's rained a lot.

....I know here in Ohio when you're told it's "mostly an easy hike in", that it means there is some ease, with a lot of hard in between that just isn't talked about/or it's forgotten due to exhaustion. So, when you are referring to a "giant hill" would that really mean a "giant hill" or a dang mountain??

Carts and wheels not allowed in Chas Deam Wilderness, except, bikes on bike trails. Not ever 2 wheeled deer carts can be used by hunters. I have seen hikers use them,,but wouldn't want to get caught. Right now streams/rivlets,,are very dry,,we have had no rain for past 3 weeks,,and they are only predicting about a 1/3 inch in the next 2 weeks. But it will rain,,that stream is mostly only about 1/2 foot deep in most spots and about 6-8' wide when running,,it does have a few deep spots but still wadable/crossable anywhere if you want to get wet from the knees down when full to its max. We should get rain to have it running a bit by the time of the hang.

There's a good question to ask. . . Is the hang location accessible by bike or is it away from the allowed trails? Got a Giant mountain bike, might be worth taking. . .

The trail is a hiking only trail no wheeled vehicles or carts allowed.

    Ah Terrel Ridge!

Most of the trail, at least until the cemetery, are closed firetrails. Easy hiking, with vehicles well within reach. 45mins to an hour one way, depending on how well you stroll or amble.

Trying to work this one in. Should you hear a dulcimer, i am there
