What can y'all tell me about that last 3 mile stretch of road. I'm going to be riding my motorcycle up. Is it pretty well-graded gravel or is it full of ruts and holes?
I ride a V-Strom so it shouldn't be anything it can't handle, I just don't like surprises.

I recommend the doors though. Although I only take them 50% of the time (I sort of trust the weather guy), sometimes you really need them. On my last trip it only rained lightly from about 10PM-5AM, but the wind swirled a mist everywhere. I had two doors on, but I got out at midnight and put the other two on. I would have been pretty wet otherwise.
But for this weekend, we can probably go tarpless!

My Mom ain't doing so hot so if things turn south again I''ll have to stay north and leave the fun to you guys. However she is showing so definite signs improvement, so I'm positive. If I'm able to attend it will mean she's doing better which will be doubley awesome.
