I wanted to get something inexpensive for my boys (8 and 11) to try out hammock camping this summer. I ended up with a couple of hammocks off eBay that came in direct from China. They are the same type of material as an ENO and are actually not that bad. The stitching isn't quite as good as some others, but well worth the $18 (shipped) price tag. They are very comfortable and the kids love them. I added some blue tarps and pads and had a cheap intro to hammocking. I am working on a couple of poncho liner underquilts now for this fall and I will start upgrading their kit for next year as Spring approaches.

Here is the link to the ones I picked up:

Note: I did add whoopies for my convenience and I tightened down those tarps before bed time.

Hennessy Cub is similar to the Scout, but Asym. They were a Christmas freebie a few years ago. I bought two on Craigslist for $50 each. Indestructible like the Scout and kids love them.

Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.

Also made each of them a tablecloth hammock like mentioned already. $11.99 each+para cord for whipping and ridgeline.
