    This is my set up...

There are many like it, but this one is mine. My set up is my best friend... I must master it...

Not really anything special, but here is my hammock and tarp together for the first time. Its a WB Ridgerunner hammock and a WL Big Daddy tarp. Also got my CAMP Nano carabiners and Nite Ize "S" biners from Whoopieslings.com (great prices and fast shipping) and I went with orange glowire from Lawson for my guy lines.

All of these vendors were great to deal with and to buy from.

Received the hammock earlier in the month and had it set up for a couple hours. The tarp arrived last week and I finally got it set up and seam sealed today and the guy lines made.

Made the guy lines from the glowire, and tied a loop at one end and added a loop/prusik at the other, then tied off the prusik to the corner guy outs. No hardware, and the tensioning of the guy line is at the tarp corner rather than stake. For the ridge, used the "S" biners to go around the tree, and then the prusik loop at the other attached to a key ring and that ring attached to the ridge tie out. I can adjust the ridge line over the hammock adjusting the guy lines at the prusik knots.

Ran over to W&M's campus to set it all up and try it out for a little bit, so here are some pictues I took.

Great looking setup! Gotta love the RidgeRunner, and that WL tarp looks to fit like a glove.

    Cheers

Looks awesome. Nice guyline setup, and a simple, clean ridgeline+tarp rig which will pay off when camping.

Awesome looking rig. I've always wondered though, how does the bridge hammock sleep compared to a regular gathered end hammock?

Honestly I don't know how a bridge hammock compares to a gathered end hammock. When I first started giving serious thought to a hammock, I always had the feeling that the gathered end wasnt for me. The bridge hammock though caught my attention and I was attracted by its straight flat lay.

I'm very happy that I got a bridge hammock. When I get in it, I just feel like I am laying in my own bed. I am very relaxed and very comfortable and when I get in it I have this feeling that I could just go right to sleep.

The point of a hammock is your supposed to be MORE comfortable than your bed, your doin it wrong
