'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read.” ― Mark Twain
Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
Dutch I will have to look and see if I have any park lititure. If its like the state parks in northern WV, there are bike and hiking trails everywhere.

What kind of food does one bring to eat at an outing like this. Is it like car camping where I should bring a Colman stove and cook or should I bring foods like Mountain house meals for easy cooking and clean up?
Thanks
Do you mean for your own meals or the Saturday potluck?
For your own meals, whatever you like. At Watoga it is car camping at the campground. Some people bring foods like Mountain house and cook on their stoves. Some people bring regular food from the fridge that they can eat cold or reheat on a camp stove or a campfire. Some people will leave the park and find that nearest fast food joint or eatery. Pretty much anything goes.
Remember there is a Saturday pancake breakfast that Dutch provides if you want that. And the Saturday Potluck you just need to bring something to share. Some bring a bag of chips, some bring a few liters of drinks, or a side dish. You can see some of the stuff people are bringing on the google spreadsheet.
My husband will be trout fishing, so he may cook up some fresh fish on a campfire if he catches anything. Like I said, anything goes.

I'm a new forum member and excited to be joining everyone at the MAHAA! My wife, a very new hanger, will be coming along as well!
Thanks Happy Camper. I was asking about personal food just wanted to be sure to pack right. First time at a hang and didn't know what to expect.
