Will the raffle be paid entry? Or attendance entry?

Paid but the proceeds go first to paying for everything and then charity. Also I think this is the biggest raffle of all the hangs. JRB, Dutchware, Hammock Gear will all be there. half my gear closet came from Mahha raffles.

FYI. I called Watoga State Park just to make sure they are not affected by the government shutdown and they are fine. The campground will be opened as planned. Even their website says WV State Parks Are Open!

This may have been asked, but how does the Raffle work? I have never been to a MAHHA, but have seen raffles performed in various manners.

    Thanks, Brian P.

PS. I placed an order with Zelf for a "GoTo" stove kit to be my contribution to the raffle.

Everything goes on some tables. People buy $10 tickets. We draw the tickets and people pick the item they want. Then all the tickets go back in and there is a final pick or picks for the grand prizes.

    Stove Addicts

    Hi all,
I’m trying to do a little coordinating for the Stove Addicts meeting.

It has been scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday, at the campgrounds if nice or the pavilion if raining.

This is going to be a gathering more than anything else. No presentations or formality, just a get together to see and fondle what people have brought. There are so many stove types out there, I thought it would be nice to get a chance to see and play with as many as possible in one place.

It looks like a lot of people are interested so there should be a good representation of stoves. So bring what you have and share with the world how great it is (or not) and maybe even demonstrate its awesomeness. You might even decide to engage those around you in a boil off.

I plan on having water buckets so we don’t burn anything down, a roll or two of foil in case anyone needs some additional shielding or ground protection and a few bottles of Heet for those travelling light. Sorry, but I don’t have any Esbit. I was planning on trying to collect a bit of stove wood to bring along, but it looks like they don't want outside wood brought into the park so you might have to take care of that yourself.

I wanted to get a quick list of what people might bring to make sure there are no serious omissions.

    Thanks,
    jason
