First Zippered Hammock

Good lookin'!

I will be doing something close but I don't know how it will turn out since I'm allowing my 9yo Webelos Scout to have some design input.

I sewed it on the net first and then attached it to the hammock body. It was kind of weird, because I had more zipper on the net then I did on the hammock, but I just made adjustments at the ends and it worked out great.

Awesome... Is that orange taffeta or ripstop? My friends sometimes call me orange, and my wife let me wear an orange tie for the wedding. I love orange, and would LOVE to make myself an orange hammock...

It's 1.9 ripstop. I bought it off of ebay.....and I too love orange.

Hey no problem at all. Love sharing DIY knowledge between each other. Takes this hobby to a whole new level being able to converse with everybody about our projects. Keep up the good work..Cant wait to see your next hammock.

I'm checking ebay now... Do you know which seller you bought it from? All I'm finding is waterproof. Is there anything wrong with using waterproof fabric for a hammock? I always assumed you would want it to be breathable.
