Hey, so I stumbled upon an article from GearJunkie.com that talked about a new sleep system, due to come out at the beginning of next year.
It's the new Sierra Designs Backcountry Bed and as soon as I saw it, I thought it would be perfect for winter/general hammock camping. It is completely zipper-less and basically acts as two top quilts that fit into one another.
You can view the article here (http://gearjunkie.com/sierra-designs...d-sleeping-bag) if you want to check it out.
The price tag for this seems crazy ($399 for 15* rating, $349 for 30* rating) but, if it could allow you to bring along a thinner UQ, and just use this as insulation as well as a TQ, I think it could be worth the money in the long run. It's supposed to weigh about 2lbs for the 30-degree bag and 2lbs, 7oz for the 15-degree.
Let me know your thoughts!
