Nevermore... Or a comedy of errors

After much research, worked out my TQ. Was planning a 50x72" 40* with 1.5" baffles. Well first mistake was not reading the width of the 1.1 seconds I bought, which was 48". Also not realizing that for a 50" finished, I needed 55" with seam allowance. So ended up with 48" wide.
Next as I was marking baffles, somehow I ended up with one less baffle on the inner than outer shell. Ok shifted them and sewed them in. The baffles are at a slant internally, but oh well!
Then I went to harvest my "down" pillow, I found all feathers. I guess I should have looked at the labels closer. Had to order from Wilderness Logics my down, which I ended up ordering 1 bag short. This is because my missing baffle suddenly showed up as I was stuffing!
After stuffing and cleaning and sewing, here is the final product

My wife said, "that looks great, honey. You are never doing another one" however she did tell me to buy what I need now

It's a bit small on me width wise, but will fit my son great.

Great work. I'm sure everyone has had the same or similar comedy of errors experience - I certainly have. And no, I'll never tell!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Great job! FYI, if I published all of my errors, they would kick me off the forum for using too much bandwidth!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

It’s called character. Some of my DIY’s have lots of it.
My ego said, SURE you can.
Half way in my body said OH NO YOU CAN'T

LOL!!! Congrats on your first DIY project, I had quite a few errors myself but it's the best learning tool you can have. What's the old saying "If your not making mistakes your not doing anything"

I think it looks like a pretty sweeeettttt quilt. It is definitely better than I can do...
One of these days I will pull out the sewing machine and start on all the DIY projects I have that are stuck in the almost planning stage.
