    Its my birthday

well not really but it was on the 26th im just posting a bit late XD

for my birthday i got 40$

i was thinking about getting the pocket hunter just for the coolness factor

but i figured i get more use out of my hammock so i would like to upgrade my suspension for my hammock or tarp

right now on my hammock i have just the standard WBBB line and buckle

and on my tarp i have masons line going to a figure 9 on each end of the tarp with a ridge line underneath to hold up my poles

any one have suggestion on which one i should upgrade, and what i should upgrade it to

    Thanks,
    A.Bottoms

Heck yeah, slide over to the PIF forum, there is always someone offering splicing services or various parts of suspension.

How long is the amsteel line from wb?? If there is enough you could make ucrs from it?
You already have tree straps. I have been using some oak that I shaped into msh toggles since I broke one of my carbon ones (I like carrying my toggles to decrease setup time). Get a roll of zing it and some dutchware and you'll be a happy camper.

    Edit: happy belated birthday!!

Good choice. IMO nothing wrong with the stock WB suspension.

If you make it out to one of the EGL hangs (keep an eye on the 'other' section of the planning forum) there's people who can show you how to splice your own whoopies (I've made some myself but am far below the level of other's expertise) or other diy projects.

Good call man! I've used a lot of mason's line in the past and while it works, the good stuff is just so much nicer.

If you are getting some dutch gear, take a look using a Tarp Flyz at one end of your ridge line and a hook on the other. Would be the ultimate no-knott CRL setup as far as I can tell.

I just got a a set of dutch clips and they are the bomb. Super strong, simple, light and quick. Enjoy!

    Happy B-day! I'm 26 also BTW.
