I have trouble remembering how old I am--it's not something I focus on very often. I do know what year I was born. I tend to go in five year increments. I am older than 55 and younger than 60. In a couple of years I will do the figuring and find that I'm over 60 but younger than 65.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Well, I am obviously in the minority here, 72. Looking at the 40-49 group numbers, made me remember that I was in my late 40's when back packing and hiking became my passion. Is there some biological clock thing at work here?
Neat - distribution is almost a perfect bell curve.
I wonder if this is more indicative of the actual ages around here, or if before 30 and after 60 you just don't care as much about answering polls.
I'm 38, been backpacking since I was 5 (thank you dad). I just converted to a hammock this year, and I must say, I feel pretty stupid for all of those nights spent on the ground.
Fear is the mind-killer.

Ah Shucks! All those years on the ground were lots of fun and enjoyable as I tried to go first class on the ground. No compareson tho to hammock hanging and the gear we have available to enjoy life now tho. Yes, I wished I switched over to hammocking earlier than I did, but the trippin on the ground will always be sweet memories of the experiences laying in the mud, rain, rocks, and tree roots, and enjoying the bugs, etc.. I forgot,,,I also remember how hot the tents got in the middle of the summer with no breeze...how I love those sweet memories.
53 just now starting to hang. I'm a late bloomer.
