Well it has been an odd year weather wise around here. The spring and early summer was cold and rainy and then the beginning of july brought almost triple digit temps/ 37,38C. After that truck troubles and back troubles and all of a sudden its the end of August. Good news is i got out a few days ago. Hadn't been out for almost a year and man did i notice it. I'm glad i decided to take an easy day instead of the bigger loops i usually do. As it was i was absolutely beat at the end of the day and still sore, BUT it was great to get out. Here's a bunch of pic's of the outing.
On my way up to the middle lake launch. View of the Even's Creek Valley, Valhalla Prov. Park.

Finally on the lake. Some of these pic's will be familiar to some of the old crowd as i've done this trip numerous times but i know Brucie wants to see some mountain lake pics.

With the lake low at this time of year there are plenty of small beaches to hang out and camp.

My destination for lunch, Bannock Point. Quite a popular spot sometimes but pretty quiet today,,(-:

Perfect spot for a hammock with a fire ring right next to me.

It was great to get out. September is usually a great month to paddle as things on the lake quieten right down and if the sun's shining i hope to get more paddling in.
Thanks for looking
