When I have company camping, it is most likely my ground dwelling brother.
bright blue sleeping bag, bright orange bear taco tent, with a camo backpack.
it would make more sense to me, if pack was orange or blue and tent was camo.
Moving camo backpack vs. stationary orange tent.

Blend is nice. OTOH it is also wise to have something that shows up in case you want to be found!

I tend to lean toward major gear that is not a color shock but add something that I can hang and see. After all when going for a paddle after setting up camp there is an advantage to being able to see it from half way across the lake. ;-) Ditto when Mr Ranger is trying to find you because you are overdue. ;-))
    YMMV

I like to blend in unless I need to be found. Earthy tones for me with a splash of here I am when I need it.

I like to have earth tone colors when possible. I bought a red primaloft jacket from another member. I have only worn it a couple of times as I find red is well ......too red.

I would prefer to blend into my environment.

Unfortunately solid black and camo send a different message than earth browns and greens when dealing with a lot of folks. Interesting when one considers that camo is some form of brown, black and greens. ;-)

My diy guilts are bright great and red my TQ is black outer and orange Inside I also use a sit pad that is reflective on one side for when I need it tn the hammock on those cold nights and orange on the other incase I need it for signaling

Its is a little warm in the summer, but then. Again so is my HH that I'm currently using,,which is od green. The HH hiddes pretty well too. Really its just what you want HYOH..
