I like dark colors or the color of dirt. That way I always look clean anyway.

for me it depends. I like to match colors if possible, so I have a blue on blue ENO DN to go with my blue Atmos 50 pack, but I also have an OD Snugpak jungle hammock to go with my black 40L pack. I do try to avoid camo at all costs. I spent 20 yrs wearing camo in the USAF and now only have a pair of shorts in that color. I do for some reason like the coyote/desert brown colors though.
As with most others, I tend toward earth colors with bright accents to prevent tripping or aid in signaling, or avoid getting mistaken for whatever animal is currently in "season".
Around the house or for group hangs though I really don't care what colors I sport. I'm looking at the orange/grey ENO DN combo since I'm a UT Longhorn.

Browns, greens, greys, and blacks are my preference--sometimes all of 'em mixed up in camo, even. I find that they blend better than other colors.
I do need to put together a blaze orange tarp, stuff sacks, and poncho for hunting season down here, though...

Most of my stuff is grays, browns, blacks, and greens but I'm starting to think I might want a brightly colored tarp for hunting seasons. Anyone know where to get a good brightly colored tarp?
I prefer blending in, as when I'm out in nature I like to see nature, not a bunch of gear sticking out like a sore thumb.
After living in the Dominican Republic for several years. I can tell you that mosquitos are drawn to dark fabrics more than light colors. They're especially drawn to black. This is something to consider.

Blending in, with the capability of blazing out..
e.g. green or grey/black pack and orange stuffbags inside that...

I have my charcoal/red eno, a bright red taffeta, and soon to be a black 1.1. I like the bright ones when I am out and about socially, but I ordered some black tree straps to go with the black hammock, and I may want to get some black amsteel, as my current supply is red. My tarp is olive green, and when I get my TQ and UQ they will both be black inside and out. My current pack is dark blue, but it is a little beat up, so I was looking to replace it eventually with the golite jam 70 in grease...except the large is no longer available
