    Just followed up my old fashioned Stones style: As Mick Jagger pointed out:"Paint it black"
    But there will be a heavy duty winter set of TQ/UQ made by Paul in yellow/grey. In this way I'm consequently inconsequent ,-)

    My hammock is dark green, my tarp is woodland. My backpack is blue... but only because the choices at the time were blue or RED.

    Why Camo?

    Because fishing lures are made to catch fishermen not fish!

    I also usually don't camp in places where I see other people at all, and no one I feel I need to conceal myself from.

    What I still can't wrap my head around is camo gear, like flashlights, knives, water containers, etc. Why make something you may have to rely on to save your life difficult to find in low light conditions?

    What kind of material is that and where can I go about getting some?! I think if I had a hammock like that I could convince my girlfriend to start camping with me.

    I don't do this to be stealthy.. I have not worn camo patterns since the day I retired from the Army..

    How about Reflectix?

    I like bright colors for some things but for my hammock gear, the better it blends in, the better!

    Because I've never been in the army (it would seem) I got camo tarp, also a two-tone brown/olive tarp.

    However, there is the fact that I am female and travel with my daughter, I have found that it frequently is in my best interest to be almost invisible, kind of the old "Stranger Danger" mind set.

    Well I have a few ideas to impart and I am glad I amongst friends. Black and Brown Bears have been observed trashin tents from observation at about 2 miles away in the bush. The tents were in bright colors that were a clear attractant without trees. Recently in Grand Canyon it was noticed that "teen" Condors have the same attractants in terms of color. So they too trash tents in the field. I don't have all the answers - but when I do - turn to Hammock Forums and the most interesting man in the world.
    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl
