I'm not usually a trail guy (more into bushwacking), but since I'm in the planning/conditioning phase for an AT Thru next year and a NOOB hanger, I'll keep an eye on this. too. Thanks for putting it up!
Thank you tri-pod bob. Make sure you do a trail journal on your thru hike so we can follow your progress.

I might be interested for this as well. Time dependent as the rest.

I will work on the GPX file for you all to look at. I only have 3/4 of the trail mapped via GPS so please excuse the gap that you will see.

If this does happen, I will have the paperwork ready before hand so you can get the special patch for the winter hike, or I will try and get some that I can hand out at the end.

There are plenty of trails that will get you off the trail and back to main roads if you need to end the hike before we get to the end. I will have them all listed as well. Just give me a few days to get it ready for everyone.

As for me I would like to do this in January or February since there is plenty of time to make arrangements and test gear before we hike.

I would like to see what dates in those 2 months (ie... Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon.) work best for a majority of those interested in this.
    Hey Gene, Hows it going.

I'd like to try this after our last attempt fell through because of schedule. I'll watch the dates to see if I'm free. At least we won't have to worry about water

I'll follow this. Doubt I'll be able to make it but if the opportunity presents it's self, I'll be there.

If I can make it, it would most likely be an "out and back" one nighter for me.

===> Hey Gene! Good to 'hear' from you again! ( Gonna make the NEHHA this year?). I am interested in this trip as well, depending on a variety of odd things. I hope to be in shape enough to do the whole trip by Feb or so.

    Keep us posted.

These are idea dates we can vote on.

Remember this will most likely take us 4 days to hike as we WILL be breaking most of the trail & you will be going up and down mountains. If for some reason you can not hike the whole time there are plenty of trails off the one we will be on at random intervals.
We need to start as soon as possible on the Friday morning as I started it at 11am in the fall last year and only made it 6 miles before it was time to make camp do to fading light at Berry Pond. The first days distance will determine if we can make it the whole distance in 4 days.
