Cool New to forum- Old Kentucky Hanger

    Hello everyone!
I've been reading quite a bit and doing some DIY projects from some contributing members. I have decided to join in and share some things I have done through my years of obtained knowledge and experience.
I was born and raised near the Big Sur, CA and have had a knack for nature since I was a young lad.
I'm an artist, specializing in painting fractal geometry. Music is another passion of mine, especially jam bands/improvizational jazz- I play guitar and keys. Though I enjoy these things, pease don't lump me in the "hyper-liberal, anti-gun, Obamafanactical hippie" category just yet. I have more depth than that and follow the party of free thinking intellectuals.
I frequent the Red River Gorge and Great Smoky Mountains when I can get away from the everday rush of city life. Im NOT new to hammock camping (30 year vet). Ive owned many and love my DIY 1.1oz gathered end over most of the big names. I use whoopie slings, dutch whoopie hooks and straps for suspension - spliced from dynaglide. DIY UQ, Bugnet and Quilt when needed.
I hope to meet some good people and contribute positivity to the forum. I'm too old for drama!
Thank you for taking time to read my testimony.
    Peace, love, and duct tape.

    Welcome to the forums, FrActOwl!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

True. I grew up in Louisville and left to move to NYC many moons ago but still know a lot of musicians there.
