This sounds great to me. Beautiful area and great mountain biking--which I will do. : )

If I get the rest of my kit together I can make it the first weekend, I don't want to be the only ground hog in the group though.
Plenty of dispersed camping along 152 and Crown Point Road all leading to Comanche Peak Wilderness. I'd be interested in these areas: http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_...rdb5165783.pdf
Gonna miss this one, but I'll be in the area the last week of Oct and the first week of Nov if anyone wants to do anything.
Yeah, sounds very nice but I'm out for anything this far north, getting to be 9.5 hour drive. I'll keep an eye on this in case something more south happens. Either way, there's still no date for sure, and no location has been picked and time is ticking. As Mustardman said all the folks that planned previous ones are either no longer local, or removed themselves from the community. Cannibal had suggested the Decker area and said he is free second weekend in October. If it goes that way I told him I would email him the plan, but that doesn't help with the real problem. If someone doesn't step up and run the show there will be no fall Colorado hang. Someone local with more information, or ability to investigate on hang spots if needed is probably best, but without that I think this thread will just end up a list of random suggestions lost in the ether.
Hi Guys, I can't make this trip. I have other obligations.
But I wanted to ask if you'all have been watching the weather lately.
West of Boulder got 14" of rain in 24 hours and it has been raining heavy every day up there for about 10 days.
All the streams are muddy rivers. RMNP is closed.

Have the monsoons ruined all hopes of a fall hang? I know a LOT of the Federal and State lands are closed. That could all change in 2 weeks if we don't get much more rain. I'm out of town from mid-Oct through mid-Nov with work, but I could do something the first weekend in October.
Anyone decide on an area?
Slowanderer - you know the area really well. What's your suggestion on a location?
