yeah, I know nothing about the area either. It's not far from us and I actually did a little fishing up near Deckers. But I know nothing of Buffalo Creek.

I've done some considerable mountain biking in B.Crk. and there are a lot of bikers there. I'm having a hard time picturing a place in my mind there that would be a good spot.

Another option would be between Woodland Park and Deckers--it's called Manitou Lakes. A state park with lakes (obviously) if you want to fish/kayak,ect,fire pits,outhouses....

Not really in the back country but still pretty and close enough to town if need supplies.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can't hang in Colorado state parks, only national in your state.
