Yeah it is a great way to end the day. I think I'll be doing it the rest if the week too. It's supposed to be beautiful the rest of the week here in South Jersey.

Backyard lounging with the kids is always great.

I just had the first hammock overnighter in my parent's yard (Mine is only 20x20!) with the 3 year old. Hanging among the hazelnut trees answering questions about ("what's that dad?") every noise we heard and basically cuddling the whole night was pretty enjoyable. We even slept some too :P

The little guy is going to his first day of pre-school today so I felt the imperative need for another "first" for him. I can't wait for my two other little backpacking partners-to-be to each have that first overnight hang.

    Here's to the kids!

I have not tried a full overnight with the kids yet. I have a 6 year old and a 7 month old. Both enjoy napping and relaxing in them, but I would really like to see if my 6yo daughter would do a full overnighter. I am going to try to attend the MI group hang later this month and give it a go. Will also have a tent set up in case.....

My kids and I have several overnighters, and not just in the yard! My son and I have been hammocking for about 2 years on scout trips. We just did an entire week in a hammock for the 2nd year in a row at summer camp. My daughter has only done one overnighter not in the yard, the Spring MAHHA. We're getting ready for the Fall MAHHA in October.

My 4 year has been begging me to take him huntingand camping. I think I can knock out 2 birds with one stone and take him hunting and hammocking next weekend. Now, the 2 year old is the one that's my mini-me. As he gets older I KNOW I'm going to buy double of everything!
