AT: Between Bear MTN NY - CT/MA

Looking to head out for an overnight or two on the AT. Anywhere from Bear NY to MA. Not set on a date tho mainly working around weekend of Sept. 7th, 14th or 21st for now. (Should also be heading out throughout 2013-14 monthly, trail conditions permitting. VT too.)

Relatively flexible on milage. Mainly just looking to get out.

    Ping/post if interested.

About 3 weeks ago I hiked the AT from metro north train up to Ten Mile River, walked along the south bank maybe 1/4 mile from the bridge and found a great place to hang, complete with a large boulder for star gazing. Would definitely recommend the spot.

I tweaked my knee a little on one of the descents otherwise would be tempted to meet you somewhere. Maybe in the future though, keep me in mind if you ever want meet up.
It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

I'm looking at doing a section of the AT starting at Mt Greylock and heading south beginning this weekend. Going to hike as long as it is enjoyable. Company would be welcome anytime.

I'm still waiting on my first hammock -- should be here Tuesday. Also the webbing for my straps and cinch buckles, and adjustable ridgeline. I've got a tarp. Pretty massive, actually, at 11' (15.6' diagonal.) I'm going to do a 'shakedown' at my MIL's house in the next couple of weeks. If all goes well, I'll be ready to hit the sticks soon.

I'm a grizzled vet who's been sleeping on the ground/in lean-to's for quite a while, now. I've hiked the Cats plenty and just brought my fiance back from her very first overnight in Harriman (Tom Jones shelter.)

I was thinking about doing the stretch from BM to West Mountain shelter, and then loop back on the S-BM.

I try to arrange to only go out on weekdays, but will do a Sunday night.

I can take the train and meet anywhere from Suffern to Harriman for HSP or Sterling Forest or the bus and meet at BM Lodge.
