    ATTENTION Santee Fall Sprawl ISSUE!!!

    OK guys, BIG ISSUE!!!

I will be posting this in a second thread but as of right now, Santee State Park lost most of my reservation and we only have room for 10 tents (or 5 hammocks....)

So we have 2 options. First one, is that Santee is willing to help us get enough room in the back right of the normal camp, near the wooded area.

This has its pro's and cons.
    Biggest "pro" is showers
Cons are parking, costs twice as much and not close to lake (you can see it...)

Second option is move the even just a little further north to Sesquicentennial State Park. While there would be no swimming, kayaking would be available as well as little pigs BBQ. which is amazing. This would also cost us a good bit to reserve, but I think with the refund from Santee it wouldnt be that much.

Please let me know ASAP your choices, I need to make the call by Friday.

I voted Santee, because I never been to that park, but will show up at either.

Paul: Sesqui is an hour closer to Jackson, MI... :-)

I vote Sesqui because I know their group site will hold 40+ hangers. I know this means no swimming and limited kayaking. Though I had planned to participate in swimming and kayaking, those are not the reasons I'm coming to this hang. Not having the beach area at the Santee group site, I'm not sure that swimming and kayaking would be as convenient either.

Also, Poinsett S.P. and Lake Greenwood S.P. were mentioned in the other thread as possible solutions as well. I've been to Poinsett and their group area is a big field with very limited hanging options. I've not been to Lake Greenwood, but I would prefer to keep it at Santee or Sesqui as both are more centrally located.

Santee won't be the same in the 'common' area.

How did they lose the reservation ?

As long as there is place to hang I'm good.

I agree with Gunner, as long as we can accommodate everyone. I think with this group of folks we will have a successful hang where ever we end up.

You could always come join us at Hot Springs...

Seriously hate that you made me choose. Hot Springs is closer to my place and has less bugs.
