    Bug Net Choices.

I am going to buy a bug net and I was thinking between BIAS and WL. I have a BIAS camper and a ENO cheapy. I know WL is slightly more but I think I like the zippered in and out.

What other brands am I missing?
If WL velcro or draw cord? For those that have this whats the benefit of either?

I would like to stay with cottage vender and I would be willing to buy used, but not for almost the same as new. If it's a matter of a few dollars I would rather give my money to BIAS or WL.

One last thing I want it for my first Cubscout camping trip which is in 2 weeks I am hoping whichever choice it is can produce one by then.

Tell you what, I have both and I won't need them for a while so I can send them both to you to try out for yourself and make a decision.

I've had both and they are both great. If you go with the WL, get the draw cord. I found the velcro sometimes sticks to my hammock and causes little snags.

You could just make up a fronkey style net (I'm pretty sure that's what bias nets are based on)? Very easy. I've made a couple with toulle from wally world and only been out about $6.

I enough netting to make my own. I even have shock cord and thread. I don't have a sewing machine. i have not had luck finding one for cheap. I also planned to use what i have to make a full diy setup as a prize for one of my webelos.

    Bugnet choices

Just a suggestion, I made a Fronkey bug net, used shock cord first. It was "sticky" when I tried to close the net. Then I used Lash It, now no more sticky.
Look here for an easy light alternative for a bug net.

I have been looking at bugnets myself. I'm looking at the WL and Bias too. Here are some others I've found

    Dream Hammock Bugsock

Simply Light Designs has two kinds, if their weight are accurate they are really light:

I'm in the same boat, and would love to hear some opinions.

The Dream Hammock and Simply Light ones don't have a bottom or side entry, just the ridgeline draw strings, which means less weight, but I don't know how easy they are to use i.e. reach up to.

Also, I read somewhere, someone uses just the bugnet if they go to ground (a rare thing), so the hammock is saved from any damage. So, one that would work well in this scenario too would be great.
