    Ordered a RidgeRunner today

Well I finally pulled the trigger on a RidgeRunner. After getting a test hang in one at the spring MAHHA (thanks to Ferret) I ordered one today. A dual layer multicam with bugnet. I hope I get it in time for fall MAHHA!

Now it's time to start saving for a spindrift sock, a poncho/undercover, a Cloudburst tarp, and finally a lynx underquilt....

    Great choice! I love mine.

    excellent choice--------congrats!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

    Modified Turtledog stand for WBRR

I just finished modifying my TurtleDog stand to accommodate the RR. I lengthened the ridge pole to 200". I also modified the ridge pole to breakdown into 5 - 40" sections. Man that thing is long now but it still works for my gathered end hammock (ENO DN). I can still shorten the ridge pole by one or two sections if needed. Now, I need to modify the tripod legs to breakdown also and then the stand will be small enough to fit in the car. I'm looking forward to testing out the RR in a month or so.
