    Quilt questions

Okay,so after reading as much as my eyes could stand 8) I would appreciate some of your personal feedback.

I just got my spankin' new Ridge runner yesterday and now am torn between quilts. I could go with Brandon's quilts WHICH ARE AWESOME but I could also go with KAQ's quilts which also seem great and are MUCH less expensive. (I'm not privy to other options)

What would your advice be in a nutshell (Shug?) lol and please include a few reasons why you would chose one over the other.

    thanks ya'll!

BTW: TQ's AND UQ's advice please

Go with the WB lynx for sure. Simply put, they were just made for each other.

Because of the geometry, I would probably go with the Lynx also. As far as top quilts go, you have a lot of options. I would probably go with Underground Quilts.

You can get the lynx which as mentioned was made for the hammock. Though i do use a HG uq for mine but it is just a little wider so it interrupts the saddlebags. As to Tq's you can go with any cottage vendor here and get a great product.

The Ridge Runner is a bridge hammock, correct?
Do they take a special UQ to give you a good fit (no gaps)?
If not, then any UQ will do.
I have 3 you could test fit. WL full 20 degree, HG 3/4 40 degree, WB Yeti 0 degree

On TQ's I really like having some room to move around and it also allows me to wear additional insulated cloths when it gets colder.
So the mummy types are out for me. YMMV

I've found the Lynx to be a super easy quilt to setup, it's just made for the Ridgerunner, no shock cord, super simple attachment, perfect fit, and as mentioned above, no extra material to interfere with the saddlebags. Also, because it is cut narrower to fit the hammock dimensions exactly, the full length weighs about the same as my other 3/4 quilts.

Brandon also makes a great top quilt in the yeti from what I've seen. I personally have a Hammock Gear burrow. Really, all the manufacturers that support this site make great top quilts, just depends on the features that you are looking for. For myself, I really like the way Hammock Gear cuts their top quilts, as I move around a lot when I sleep, I ordered a wide half taper, in regular length and it gives me a lot of coverage so I don't end up with cold spots.

    Cheers
