And for those of us whose pants would fall down if not for the belt so no double usage as a suspension adjuster is possible, mine is just going to use a spare Stealth Buckle.

Considered putting a couple of D rings on it so I could clip stuff to it but then realized that they wouldn't be accessible with a pack on so nixed that one.

And to think I was going to spend a bunch of time making a paracord belt for myself....this is so much simpler! I'll save the paracord for holding up other things than my pants.

    Thanks guys!!

I might buy one, actually. It seems a lot like what I wear day-to-day anyway: a Blackhawk web belt with a cinch buckle:

    Cinch Buckle Belt

Funny the cotton webbing belt with D rings is all the rage now. I actually made some out of nylon webbing for myself and my boys for lightweight belts. Count the grams no?

    I'm going to order one.

What do you do with the tail of the belt? Just fold it under?

Some of us require almost that much belt.
The original one I built was a few inches longer and I had to tuck it under itself at the end. Since chopping it down to 48" (end of buckle to end of belt), the excess hangs perfectly for me. I've got a 40-42" waist.

Smaller guys will have to decide whether to tuck it or trim it down.

Awesome job Randy. Will there be an option to have a loop sewn on the free end, so when we want to use it as a webbing extender its easy to attach to our current strap?

Let me try this on one of them tonight and make sure the webbing passes through the cinch buckle easily enough while it's around your waist.

    Cinch Buckle Belt

Used my belt last night. Had two giant long leaf pine trees and 8' straps were too short. I carry one extra tree strap and used my belt on the other tree.

Worked great. Wear my belt every time we backpack.

Wish I had gotten pictures. It was dark after I got setup. And this morning was 39 and raining.

    Thanks papa smurf
