    SOLD: 900FP Down 3/4 Underquilt - 0 Degrees

    SOLD

Price includes shipping to the US. Will ship internationally for actual shipping - PM for details.

PM or email [email protected] for questions.

Per HF rules, please post an "I'll take it" to secure a claim. I will not entertain trades at this time, sorry.

*For Sale - New DIY 900FP Down 3/4 Length 0F Degree Underquilt

    -Dimension: 55"x43" (differential cut)
    -3.5" Loft (2" noseeum Baffles)
    -10.25oz of 900FP Thru-hiker down
-Estimated temp rating = 0F (Using Catsplat's UQ Calculator)
-1.1oz Ripstop Nylon (Firsts from DIY GS) - Silver outer, black inner
-Weighs 17.9oz (503g) (Weight includes suspension)

    *Comes with suspension
    *Suspension shown in pictures.

This is my second DIY underquilt and I have had lots of thread injecting practice over the years, so the stitching is pretty good - Perhaps not as nice as a professional but take a gander at the pics. I opted to not use Grosgrain around the edges to shed weight - this method has held up well for a couple years now on my other DIY UQ.
Selling because I realized that I don't need an underquilt this cold because I tend to go to the ground at temps this low.

Materials to make this quilt cost over $170 + the 14 or so hours I spent making it - only to never see it used! Bummer!

    $175 Shipped
[strike]$165 Shipped[strike] (crazy good price for a brand new quality UQ)
    SOLD!

    Wi$h I had da' ca$h for it...Chri$tma$ depleted my immediate dispo$able income.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

Very nice looking. Can I ask...what is a differential cut?

Taking a stab, because I want to see if I have learned me some, reading these forum posts.

A differential cut means one end is cut different the other, usually this means the foot end is cut more narrow than the head end. This allows a tighter fit on the foot end.

    Did I get it right?

not completely, a differential cut UQ will have the inner layer cut smaller than the outer layer so when the quilt is snugged up to the hammock the down isn't compressed. picture a phone book when you bend it, the front and back covers don't match up. one would have to be bigger so they match when it's bent

Why are you selling it without using?

Whoops, I changed my listing. It IS differential Cut - not sure why I said it wasn't - the outer layer of fabric (silver) was much wider than the inner (black) to account for the channels loft - It is the same width throughout though.. This is modeled after high-end UQ's and I didn't take shortcuts.

I made this for winter camping and I just don't do that much anymore. I already own a 20f underquilt that sees the bulk of my use.

    Price drop - $170
