It does show the problem pretty clearly!
Looks like a combination of not getting the ripstop into the binding fully before sewing, and edge ravelling (perhaps not cut with a hot knife?). (Sometimes that grosgrain can hide a problem rather than preventing one....)

Not hard to fix, but this sort of thing shouldn't happen with commercial quality gear.

The vendor should make this right for you.

I'd give all the seams a good firm 'test', if it were my gear. Better to find problems now, instead of some night 'out there'....

The sil is barely sewed on the seam, and in this spot its completly missed. Still no word from the vendor
That's not normal, looks like GG edging wasn't quite lined up. I'm sure your vendor will take care of this for you.

UPDATE: So I thought everyone should know that this UQ was from hammockgear.com. I called this morning and talked with Adam and was completely blown away by the customer service. The UQ will no doubt be completely fixed with out even a question. He was very apologetic for the issue, even though it was an understandable issue. (Lord knows I could never sew this stuff!) He offered to pay for return shipping, and figures I will have it back in less than a week. You just can't ask for better customer service than that!

We also talked about my new hammock on order (WBBB XLC), and he is going to ensure that the UQ is proper for that. I just can't say enough about how happy I am with the resolution to the problem. He was also very concerned with my BWCA trip coming up, and making sure that the UQ was good to go in time for that.

Once again, our cottage vendors show us why we buy from them, and not the big box stores.
