Photo upload for albums

I recently created a couple of albums and found the interface for uploading pictures the most annoying thing. If you want the pictures in chronological order, you pretty much have to upload them one-by-one in reverse. Am I missing something?

Would it be possible to change the interface so it always appends to the album?

Good question, but I'll have let one of the others answer it. I know it can be a challenge putting them in the order you want.
Another option I like is displaying them on line in something like "Picasa" (by google), then just pasting a link to the public album.
