Yes, opposite side of the knot. Unless I misinterpreted your photo, the following photos show your way on the left, mine on the right. Both knots are oriented in the same directions. I don't know that it makes any difference.

The nice things about burying a section into the loop to make a bulge as in my previous post, is it can't break off and it is added to a finished whoopie without having to redo the adjustable bury.
I never felt good about the knot and toggles so i switched to a set of dutch buckles and slid a piece of cordura over my strap, you only need a 2 inch piece where the whoopie rests on the strap and i figure my strap and whoopies are gonna last a very long time and the dutch buckles are titanium so you do the math
Do you guys know if there is any problem re-doing (that is, undoing and splicing again) the bury on a set of whoopie slings? On my first set I should have made the bury shorter and closer to the fixed loop.
