after having to dig the loop out the other day, I considered putting one of the the clamps from a bow string used to mark the nock point.

The beads on my purchased set cracked off , maybe they got pinched on the knot. The Tie wrap or Keyring is a good fix if it does crack off and you don't want to re-bury the sling.

    I use a rangerband(inner tube).

Yes, opposite side of the knot. Unless I misinterpreted your photo, the following photos show your way on the left, mine on the right. Both knots are oriented in the same directions. I don't know that it makes any difference.

The nice things about burying a section into the loop to make a bulge as in my previous post, is it can't break off and it is added to a finished whoopie without having to redo the adjustable bury.

That is also what I do and was confused when I saw the other picture.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Your right, I see what your saying now, It may have twisted around when I took that picture, or maybe I just put it on backwards.

FWIW...I've always looped the whoopie sling over the knot and toggle from the opposite side shown in your photo.

I never felt good about the knot and toggles so i switched to a set of dutch buckles and slid a piece of cordura over my strap, you only need a 2 inch piece where the whoopie rests on the strap and i figure my strap and whoopies are gonna last a very long time and the dutch buckles are titanium so you do the math

I didn't quite get what you were saying when I first read this, but now that I go back and look this is a great technique. Thanks

Do you guys know if there is any problem re-doing (that is, undoing and splicing again) the bury on a set of whoopie slings? On my first set I should have made the bury shorter and closer to the fixed loop.
