Did this trail 2011. Started at Sloan Bridge on Fork Mt trail to Chattooga Trail. Then caught Foothills to Oconee State park. It was cold low 20's. My hiking partners Greg did video and David was other member. Good time. As you see I was only one In hammock. BigRed77

What's the mileage on this section? I'm looking at doing a 4 day FHT hike and would like to do this section instead of Sloan Bridge to Burrells Ford which I've already done.Originally Posted by BigRed77

I gotta tell ya this. I look at a lot of trip reports and love them all (for different reasons) but this was so well done. The videography was really, really well done. It was so entertaining. Thanks for sharing that.
I really felt for the gentleman with the grey beard. It looked like that pack was wearing him rather than the other way around. Boy howdy.
