    My latest hammock

I started injecting a new hammock tonight. This one is made of blue shot crinkle taffeta. It will just be a simple design, and if it turns out ok will be raffled at work to raise money for the Make Poverty History campaign. Because it will probably go to someone else I am being extra careful with this one and trying to keep some straight lines.

Not too bad, definitely getting better.

    Pretty flash fabric this one.

Looks good - I like your old Singer injector.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

    Looking good Simon.

Are you gonna go with whoopies for the suspension?

Yeah that machine is a ripper. A real pleasure to use.

Yeah not sure mate. As it will be going to someone who may not be a camper of hammocker I will probably go with straps and cinch buckle.

    Thanks mate.

I only got one side done tonight. I have had a few nights of disrupted sleep with the kids, and could feel my concentration slipping so will do more tomorrow.

Nice work. I love that old Singer. The first machine I used was very similar to that.

    Cinch buckle

For this hammock I went with Dutch's cinch buckles with a continuous loop made after wrapping the buckle.
