Do you still remember the December's foggy freeze? When the ice that clings on to your beard was screaming agony? And you snatched your rattling last breaths with deep sea diver sounds. And the flowers bloomed like madness in the spring.

I believe we were hiking with Cross Eyed Mary back then.

Gotta love some JT. When Jim, Janice and Jimmy were all defiling their livers Ian was stowing his cash away. He made a killing in fisheries of all things!
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.

And yet there are those who thought Ian was thick as a brick.

    Snot running down his nose!

Just spent the weekend kicking the crud. Need to rebuild my strength as quickly as possible.

Looking at the forecast for the town of Roan Mountain, I expect it to be 12-15* colder with the 4000' elevation difference - snow. We could go down to the bog and warm our feet.

I certainly hope that it's snow and not rain. That would be rather nutty. I'm not backing out unless it's pouring.
