Inexpensive Elephant-Foot 3/4 length Sleeping Bag

I just found this extremely inexpensive synthetic model available now at E-Bay:

I haven't tried out anything like this, but at this low price ($34.99+ free shipping), this may be a really good alternative to a more expensive conventional top quilt (i.e., to be used in conjunction with a warm jacket/parka and a warm head/neck covering).

In case it is not clear, the idea here is that this is basically a 3/4 length sleeping bag -- similar in concept to a top-quilt, only slightly different.

At that price, looks like a good deal at ebay.

I bought one of those Brooks Range elephant foot bags, used, at BPL. Each baffle looks very puffy because (1) it is well stuffed and (2) it is sewn through construction! That is price and appearance over function, because it costs more to sew good baffles with four seams instead of two, and with four sides, the baffles would have to be severely overstuffed to look puffy. Pretty looking, lots of down, but not warm for the weight, due to the cheaper construction. Don't buy one of those.
