    Help adjusting underquilt

I made an IX UQ following the plans from DIYGS (http://www.backwoodsdaydreamer.com/d...ex-underquilt/), for my diy ~10.5' 1.1 sl. But when I lay in the hammock, the uq suspension (shock cord) is always bugging my head, feet, or both. Am I on too much of a diagonal, or is there some adjustment in my setup that will get these rubber bands out of my face?

Are you able to post a picture of your hammock and quilt while you are in the hammock? This will likely make it easier for others to make suggestions for your particular issue.

    Cheers

Could be the shock cord is too tight.
    Just a thought.

Shug, after watching your video I went out and was able to get things just right. Getting the cord over my feet and not lying so diagonally was the ticket. I still might lengthen the shock cord, after a test or two.

Heal well, I look forward to meeting you in the Ditch one day!

I had that problem with the "rubber band in my face" using the original Hammock Gear Suspension (Continuous from head to foot). Switching to the new suspension (runing from each corner and not continuous) solved the problem for me.

How exactly did you do your new suspension?
