    Hi from Western Ky

    Hi all,

Wife and I love the outdoors, love camping, but have little time for it. The last time we went camping with the tent, and all the coolers, and the blow up mattress, and........you get the idea. I swore I'd never do it again. With us working till noon on Sat's (own a business), by the time we get set up, it's time to tear it down. No fun.

I've been reading about hammock camping on other forums throughout the net and I think it's a way for us to get out there and do some minimalist type camping.

I bought my first hammock on here from a member, received it today, and have never been happier with a purchase. Now if I could just get my wife to stop rolling her eyes at the idea....

Hello and welcome to the forums from Indiana!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Welcome JPL. Lots of good camping areas in the LBL. Our family has a little place down by Fairdealing and we spend a lot of time outdoors down there.

Welcome from a Tennessean neighbor! I started hammock camping a year ago and never looked back. My tent recently ripped & I've got no plans to replace it.
