Going back for weekend two in a few days and hoping to hang!
Beaver Patrol here, NE-VI-77 with the National Capital Area Council. I hung the entire second weekend.
Sincerely,

Nice!
Did my course at Philmont back in 2000... SR-347 @ Zastrow. No hanging allowed you know.
I used to be a BEAR...

I used to be a bear..... SR436.
Congrats Postal on going through your training!
Thanks. Had a house fire so kinda fell out of the loop here. At any rate I have all of my ticket approved and am prepping for weekend 2 next week. Kinda stoked to get back in the woods.
Where ever you go,
There you are.
Wasn't a hanger when I went through the course back in 05.. Hung both times I staffed in '11 and '13.
Beaver in a hammock is a happy sleeper.

I've never taken the course but have been on staff one time. It seems the only position on staff open to those who have not gone through the course is the cook (since it's not program related I am told). An old scouting buddy of mine was Scoutmaster that year and he asked me to help out. I agreed to on 2 conditions, that is was "One and done" and that I have my "A" team to help out. That consisted of 2 boys who had gone through the cooking merit badge with me at summer camp and their parents. It worked out very well and I still get comments about it 4 years later.
I admire those going through the course but still have not become so inspired that I go through the course. It's just a personal preference, but it was a ton of work and a lot of fun to help the "real" staff out.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.

You must be headed to Camp Jackson. I'm envious I would like to camp there soon. Florence holds a special place in my heart. My business partner is headed to his second weekend of woodbadge. I asked him last month if anyone hung and he said he saw one person. I've been working on converting him from a ground dweller. Would like to see some pictures.
I see you are from Ft. Payne, do you ever work Cub Haunted, etc. at Comer? I would like to take my son (now in a troop) to volunteer soon.

Fox patrol here ... Hung in my hammock while fellow fox patrol members got soaked in their tents.
No Camp Jackson is not ready yet. We are headed to Camp Westmoreland for our last week. And yes I work Cub haunted. Bring him on up. I will not be there the first weekend as I will be at Wood Badge. If you have questions pm away.
Oh and this is the only one I have. https://www.hammockforums.net/galler...=21849&catid=2
If he is headed next weekend to Florence then he is with me.
