Thanks everybody....

Yeah we tested yesterday and realized we made a big mistake on the ratio. Not sure where our brains were at the time of measurements but we put 1 tube of silicone to 3 quarts of Mineral spirits...Needless to say the ratio was waaaay off. I knew something was wrong before we even tested it because it was so light on my scale. We are fixing it this week and will retest, measure weight, and post results. For those interested in dimensions, I used the same dimensions provided by the DIY Gear Supply's Tarp guide.

Wow! Bet you were kickin yourself. Admire you for going for round two with the tarp. Please keep posting - I have seen a lot posted on DIY syl but haven't found anything yet that says " make X quarts of an X:1 mixture and apply it 'this way' to a finished tarp or tarp half." With test info that verifies the method.
I want to take those two marpat hammock blanks I got from you and make a tadpole sized tarp. Will probably proceed with that as soon as you have it perfected.

Yeah I will give a detailed guide on this as soon as I can...I plan to make a 2nd one after we complete this one for Dayglow. When I make the next one, I will do a whole video guide from sewing it to dipping it. But before that, I have got to finish my hammock and two 0°F UQs for me and my wife.
