    Back yard hang: gear test!

I have not had a chance to do much hanging recently, so I arranged to do a gear test this past weekend in the back yard. Tried out some triangle thingies from Arrowhead on the Hammock Gear UQ. Also had a chance to fire up a little generic pocket rocket stove for the first time. All gear tested well!

    Time for sleep:

Woken up WAAAYYY too early by the crows!

    Wrapped in downy goodness:

    Making coffee:

First sip of coffee from the hammock. Starbucks Via are not bad! Just need to add more coffee to the coffee.

All in all, it was a successful test and a good weekend.

Haha! Sounds like a fellow strong coffee lover. I believe coffee isn't strong enough until the first sip takes your breath away.

Looks like a nice weekend hangin in the yard. Good thing it cooled off for the weekend.

I do believe I see a China Stove ( the orange storage box is a dead give away ). Those are nice little stoves for the $$

@ DAdamEich: Yep, gotta have coffee that tastes like coffee! Especially when the crows wake you up early. When we camp with Scouts, I generally bring along something like Starbucks Sumatra to go into the REI French press coffee maker. YUM!

@ gunner76: Yes, this was my first flight with the el cheapo Pocket Rocket knock off. Worked remarkably well!

OK, it wasn't quite the Shug "BBrreakfast in the hammock", but it was a nice start to the day.

BTW: That's a pot from the Batchstovez.com cook kit. Nice stuff from Batchstovez!
