Hi All,
I'd love to try and make it out to this if there's room for one more. I have to try and convince the GF we don't need to put up the tree and decorate on Saturday though.
Hi All,
I'd love to try and make it out to this if there's room for one more. I have to try and convince the GF we don't need to put up the tree and decorate on Saturday though.
I've been working my butt off making my favorite alky stove. This thing is awesome:

And here's a pic of the ones I've made:
If anyone wants one, let me know and I'll bring you one. I'm selling them for $15 a piece.
Just kidding about the $15 each - they're free. If you want one, let me know. I believe I've already given one to jtdad13 and vagabound. I have 12 available.
Each stove is handcrafted by a one-eyed man. I've sanded/grinded the edges so you shouldn't get cut. I tested each one for at least 15 seconds of burn time (about all you need with this design - it either burns right or it doesn't). I use Dale's Pale Ale cans almost exclusively (gives me a reason to drink the beer), though I do have a few with other cans.
This is my favorite stove - beats anything I have ever used.
Usually, when it rains like it has the last two days, my yard has 4 or 5 inches of standing water. However, I didn't realize how dry things have been the last couple of months. I have no standing water in my yard - the ground is so parched it's soaking all the moisture up. Now I understand why there was a burn ban.
Vagabound - I bought a bag of Bali coffee (which I have to grind for the trip). So if you want to bring something else, that's cool.
Here's what I'm bringing in the fresh-roasted coffee department:
