    Trip to RMNP

Back in August a friend and I took a trip to RMNP to get some hiking in. After a late start due to waiting 2 1/2 hrs for are rental (Hertz sucks) we got are permit and headed to the trailhead. We hiked into the northern section of the park from Dunraven trailhead late and made it to are first campsite around 7:00.

The next morning we hiked to are next site at Lost Lake.

Got there early and spent the afternoon exploring the lakes above camp.

Next day it was off trail hike over Mt.Dunraven to Lawn Lake.

The next morning got early to climb up to the Saddle and Crystal Lake.

After that we head back for the twenty or so mile trip back to the trailhead. Passing close to this big fellow

Had a great time in the piney woods. Here is a link to more pics

AWESOME!!!! Thanks for the pics, been a few years since I've been to Lawn Lake and Saddle. Nice area of the park with fewer hikers...
