college hanging

I have a granddaughter, second year in college, and today she says she needs a hammock, so she can hang with other students on the "sweetheart circle". She also remembers who might just help her with that, yep, Pops to the rescue. My wife and I whipped her up a gathered end table cloth hammock, I put continuous loops in the ends, added whoopies and straps and gave her Dad a show and tell on hanging so he can show her. I won't be around when she comes home this weekend, I will be in Hot Springs, wheeeee!

Reminds me of something i saw this past spring...

I had originally posted this on another forum --

So here is the sight I found this morning. I am biking to work heading to Jamestown from Williamsburg, and I am heading down Jamestown Rd. I had come around College Corner riding along the William and Mary campus and there in the tree on the side of the road was a hammock in the tree with a student (I assume) fast asleep. I had to turn back around and take a picture. Look close...eminds me of something I saw back in the spring...

The five of the best years of my life were spent in the 'Boro. I met my wife there our freshman year, and proposed to her on Sweetheart Circle 7 years later.
