Taking the wife for her first hang.

The kicker is that she's 7 months prego.

We'll be out for a two nighter starting tomorrow. I think I've got all the gear I need for her.

She'll be in a hammock I made with 1.9 ripstop. I took her out this afternoon for a quick test . She was a bit resistant, but after about 15 min she was out. I had to wake her up an hour and a half later so we could come home to make dinner.

I got her a thermarest pad and a 20deg bag.

Also making a bug net for her this eve.

I know Im rambling, but I'm really looking for any sort of advice to make her life easier this weekend.

Here she is taking a nap.

    And working her way in...

Before long instead of a cradle in the house you can have a mini hammock for the incoming one.

I presume you will have a camp stove so you can boil water?

Nothing sells the hammock life quite like an unexpected nap. Have fun on your trip.

It was a good time. Nice day yesterday followed by rain all night last night. It stopped raining just long enough for coffee and breakfast, then to break camp.

Ended up heading out yesterday morning for an overnight stay. She didn't want to set up in the dark.

We went out of town a few miles, then pulled off the road in a place I know well. Only has a few hundred yard walk in to a nice private spot.

    Our setup.

I'm glad I added a wall. It rained like a son of a ***** for most of the night.

Hammock suspension makes a good all purpose hanger.
