I spent my first night in a hammock this past weekend. I had nothing fancy, just a Grand Trunk $20 special, closed cell pad and a sleeping bag. It got down to about 39 degrees and I stayed relatively warm. The only problem was that my heels seemed to go a bit numb and I couldn't keep my feet comfortable. Did I have the bottom of the hammock too high? Both ends were level when I got in, as far as where they were relative to the trees.
